KidBiz Community Entrepreneurship Fund
We know that there's a ton of support out there for young entrepreneurs. We also know that usually MONEY is not the obstacle separating a young person from launching their KidBiz business.
We want to make sure that young entrepreneurs have a place where they can pitch and raise funds for their initiatives - for profit or community oriented - and remove any obstacles to turning their ideas into action.
As part of our Fall Young Entrepreneurs Expo, several sponsors are pledging to contribute a total of $5.00 for each Speed Networking attendee (up to $1000.00). We will also be encouraging our business attendees to pledge their support for the Entrepreneurship Fund - whether that's in the form of a contribution or a PLEDGE of $10,$20, $100 of conditional support if an idea that a young person pitches resonates with them. (The Fund will report the combination of financial contributions and pledges of future support.)
What will we fund: Micro-loans/grants to young businesses, youth entrepreneurship initiatives (expos, prizes/awards, recruiting bonuses, school/community programs)
